SITE Magazin is an artist project that was founded in 1998 by Ralf Brög, Sven Lütgen and Petra Rinck in Düsseldorf. The editors studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy between 1990 and 1996 . SITE has been managed by Ralf Brög and Petra Rinck since 2001. SITE sees itself as a cross-media platform and deals with the exhibition, production and publication of contemporary art contributions.

SITEmagazine is an art magazine that appears in German and English with a print run of 1500. Since the publication of the first issue in 1999, 13 issues have been created in cooperation with various contemporary artists. SITEmagazine is not a review magazine, but an exhibition in print form. The compilation of the artistic work is experimental and includes text contributions, photographs, graphics and drawings. We have been working with guest curators since SITE 11.

Between 1998 and 2001, monthly solo exhibitions were organized parallel to the magazine in the SITE showroom. Conceptual and thematic exhibitions were also organized. The SITE gallery opened in 2006 and was closed again after a series of eight exhibitions.

With each issue, SITE offers editions by contemporary artists specially created for the magazine. The series of art editions includes unique pieces as well as photographs, prints and plastic works.
