Sjoerd Adrianus Theodorus Ars , called Sjoerd Ars , (born April 14, 1984 in Terborg ) is a Dutch football player who plays for De Treffers .

Career

Ars started out with club football in the youth division of DVC'26. From here he moved to the youth department of the traditional club Feyenoord Rotterdam . After he failed to get promoted to the professional squad, he decided to leave the club. In the summer of 2002, he moved to the then Dutch first division club VBV De Graafschap . With this club he was relegated after one season, but also managed to get promoted again directly. After the club was relegated again from the Eredivisie in the summer of 2005 , Ars left the club.

The following six seasons he played for various Dutch first and second division clubs. In the summer of 2011 he moved to the Bulgarian league for Levski Sofia . After he worked here for half a season, he was loaned to the Chinese club Tianjin Teda for the second half of the 2011/12 season.

In the summer of 2012 he returned to Levski Sofia and played the first half of the season. For spring 2013, he was up to the end of the season in the Turkish TFF 1. Lig at konyaspor borrowed. At this club he knew how to convince from the start and with his eight goals in 17 games he played a key role in the fact that his club was relegated to the Süper Lig as the playoff winner. After this success, Ars was unable to agree on a further collaboration with Konyaspor.

Thereupon Ars moved for the new season to the Turkish second division club Karşıyaka SK .

In the summer of 2014 he returned to his home country and joined NEC Nijmegen .
