Smrkovec (German Smrkowetz , 1939–1945 Fichtich ) is a district of the municipality of Hradešice in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers northwest of Horažďovice and belongs to the Okres Klatovy .
geography
Smrkovec is located in the Nepomucká vrchovina ( Nepomuk Mountains ). The village is located on a hill between the valleys of the Mlýnský potok and Smrkovecký potok, which join 800 m east of Smrkovec. Smrkovec is surrounded by several ponds; on the southern outskirts is the Smrkovec or Velký Smrkovec , to the east is the Břežanský velký rybník , to the northwest of the Konětovský rybník and north of the Šípov. Slavník (627 m) rises to the northeast, Na Slatině (491 m) to the east, Hora (544 m) to the southeast, Hradešice ( Radoschitz ; 489 m) to the south , Na Rovině and Prašivice (575 m) to the west ) and to the northwest the Hora (675 m).
Neighboring towns are Neprochovy to the north, Týřovice, Velešice and Břežany in the Northeast, Třebomyslice and Bažantnice the east, Malý Bor , Týnec, Malé Hydčice, Hliněný Újezd and Bojanovice in the southeast, Hradešice in the south, U svatého Antonína, Cerveny Mlyn, Mirenice, Na Bahne , Sedlečko and Nalžovy in the south-west, Zahrádka, Bažantnice, Přebořice and Plichtice in the west and Velenovy, Camberov and Těchonice in the north-west.
history
Smrkovec was first mentioned in 1366 as the seat of Kostano von Smrkovec. Later the estate was added to the Horažďovice estate .
In 1815, 171 people lived in the 26 houses of Smrkovec. In 1838 Smrkowetz consisted of 26 houses with 161 inhabitants. There was a mill in the village. The parish was Hradeschitz . Until the middle of the 19th century Smrkowetz remained subordinate to the allodial property Horažďowitz .
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Smrkovec / Smrkowetz 1850 a district of the municipality Hradešice in the judicial district Horažďowitz. From 1868 the village belonged to the Strakonitz district . In 1880 Smrkovec broke away from Hradešice and formed its own municipality. In 1900 Smrkovec had 209 inhabitants. From 1949 Smrkovec belonged to the Okres Horažďovice. In 1950 there were 146 people living in the 35 houses in Smrkovec. After the Okres Horažďovice was abolished, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Klatovy in 1960. In 1961 Smrkovec was incorporated into Hradešice. In 1991 the place had 93 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 34 houses in which 82 people lived.
