Snowfall is an American television series. The series, which was originally intended for Showtime , first aired on July 5, 2017 on FX . The German-language dubbed version has been broadcast on the pay-TV broadcaster FOX since January 25, 2018 .

Set in Los Angeles in 1983, the series revolves around the first crack epidemic and its impact on the city's culture. The series follows the stories of several characters whose lives threaten to overlap: 19-year-old drug dealer Franklin Saint, Mexican luchador Gustavo "El Oso" Zapata, CIA agent Teddy McDonald and the niece of the Mexican drug lord, Lucia Villanueva.
