Sokratis Dioudis ( Greek Σωκράτης Διούδης , born February 3, 1993 in Thessaloniki , Greece ) is a Greek football player and acts in the position of goalkeeper . He has been under contract with the Greek first division club Panathinaikos Athens since 2017 .

Career

society

Dioudis began his career in 2011 with the traditional Greek club Aris Thessaloniki , where he did not play a competitive game in the 2011/12 season behind national players Michalis Sifakis and Markos Vellidis. Once he established himself in the following season as a goalkeeper, Dioudis moved to in July 2014 FC Bruges . In Belgium Dioudis was neither in the championship nor in the cup, so that he left the club after just one season and switched to Panionios Athens on loan . Before that, he won the Belgian Cup in 2015, the first professional title of his career.

After his contract with Bruges expired, Dioudis returned to Aris Thessaloniki in 2016, where he signed a three-year contract. In the summer of 2017 he moved to Panathinaikos Athens , where he was the substitute goalkeeper behind Odisseas Vlachodimos and only made eight competitive appearances. Dioudis has been a regular goalkeeper at Panathinaikos since the 2017/18 season.

National team

Dioudis went through all of Greece's junior national teams. He had his most significant success in 2012 when he reached the final of the U-19 European Championship as a regular player, but was defeated there just 0: 1 against Spain.
