Uffe Manich Bech (born January 13, 1993 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish football player who is under contract with Panathinaikos in Greece .

Career

In the club

Bech started playing soccer at Hellerup BK . From there he went to the youth department of Lyngby BK . In 2010 he joined the professional team. He made his professional debut on August 1, 2010 in a Superliga game in a 2-2 draw against Silkeborg IF , when he came on for Morten Petersen in the 87th minute . On April 14, 2011, Bech came to his first professional goal: In the game against FC Midtjylland he came on for David Boysen in the 70th minute and scored the 1-0 two minutes later. At the end of the season, which ended for Lyngby BK with eighth place in the table, Bech had twelve appearances and one goal. In the following season, in the Lyngby BK relegated as the table penultimate, he came to ten missions and one assist. In the first half of the following second division season he played 16 games and scored five goals.

During the 2013 winter break, Bech moved back to the super league for the then champions FC Nordsjælland . On March 3, 2013 he made his debut for the club in the 1-0 win on matchday 21 against AC Horsens in the starting lineup. Eight days later he scored his first goal for FCN in a 1-1 draw on matchday 22 in the game at FC Midtjylland. As a result, he came to three more missions with one goal and two assists. FC Nordsjælland finished second in the table at the end of the season and qualified for the qualification for the Champions League . He was not used there. In the following season, Bech played in the league in a total of eleven games; FC Nordsjælland finished sixth in the table.

For the 2015/16 season , Bech was signed by the German Bundesliga club Hannover 96 . He received a contract that runs until 2019. He scored his first goal in the Bundesliga in the 4-0 home win against FC Ingolstadt on November 28, 2015, the 14th matchday of the 2015/16 season. With Hannover 96 he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season .

At the end of January 2018, Bech was loaned to the second division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth until the end of the season.

In the summer of 2018, Bech returned to Hanover and made five appearances in the second team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord , in which he scored five goals. On August 31, 2018, he moved to Brøndby IF on loan until December 31, 2018 , the subsequent purchase option was not drawn. In January 2019, Bech returned to Hanover and was initially part of the second team's squad. At the end of February 2019, the new coach Thomas Doll ordered him back to the squad of the relegation-threatened Bundesliga team. Under Doll, Bech made two substitutions by the end of the season. After Hannover 96 was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga, he left the club when his contract ended.

In mid-August 2019, the Dane received a three-year contract with the Greek first division club Panathinaikos .

National team

Bech played since 2008 from the U16 for all U-national teams of Denmark. As a Danish U21 international, he qualified in 2014 for participation in the U21 European Championship 2015 and was eliminated with the team in the semi-finals.

On October 11, 2014, Bech made his debut for the Danish senior team when he came on for Peter Ankersen in the 71st minute of the 1-1 qualifier for the European Championship in Elbasan against Albania .
