The Solnan is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions. It rises in the Jura , in the municipality of Verjon , initially drains in a south-westerly direction, then curves around the village of Villemotier , runs northwards from there and flows into the Seille as a left tributary after a total of 62 kilometers in the urban area of Louhans . On its way, the Solnan crosses the Ain and Saône-et-Loire departments .
