Somogyhatvan is a Hungarian community in the county Szigetvár in Baranya .
Geographical location
Somogyhatvan is located ten kilometers northwest of the city of Szigetvár . Neighboring communities are Somogyapáti and Patosfa .
history
Somogyhatvan was mentioned in writing in 1421 under the name Hatwan . In the Middle Ages the settlement probably belonged to the former monastery of Szentmiklós to the south. During the county reform in 1950, the place belonging to the former Somogy county was assigned to the Baranya county as part of the Szigetvár district.

Somogyhatvan has a library, a mayor's office, a reformed church , a small Roman Catholic prayer house and the Somogyhatvan Sport Egyesület football club .
