List of UN Special Rapporteurs
Special Rapporteur (Special Rapporteur), Special Representative of the Secretary-General (Special Representative of the Secretary General) and Independent experts (Independent Experts) are the mandates United Nations , leading to the so-called special procedures ( Special Procedures include). The mandates of the Special Rapporteurs are defined either thematically or geographically.
They are usually appointed by the UN Human Rights Council for a period of three years, with their mandate often being extended once for a further three years. You are volunteering . Her working methods include country missions, thematic studies and dialogue with individual governments on individual cases of human rights violations.
