Sunday in New York is an American movie from 1963. It is based on the eponymous comedy by Norman Krasna , who also wrote the screenplay.
action
Adam Tyler is an American flight captain who has a weekend off and wants to use it for a romantic get-together with his girlfriend Mona in his New York apartment. The weekend is suddenly interrupted when Adam's little sister Eileen visits him unexpectedly. She has an argument with her fiancé Russ Wilson because she doesn't want to sleep with him before marriage. Adam appeases her and says that she has exactly the right attitude.
Adam has his next flight on Sunday and wants Mona to fly after him. However, the flight plans for him are changed and Mona is now alone in a strange city. Meanwhile, Eileen meets journalist Mike Mitchell on a bus. The two fall in love and end up in Adam's apartment. Russ Wilson also appears there to ask Eileen's forgiveness. However, he sees Eileen's brother in Mike. When Adam comes back unexpectedly, he is introduced to Russ as his own copilot. Adam plays the masquerade. As the evening progresses, however, the truth emerges. Mike and Eileen admit their love and Russ realizes that his relationship with Eileen has no future. Adam finally decides to marry Mona, as the spontaneous meetings in any place in the world only cause confusion.
