Sophie Pacini

Sophie Pacini (born December 12, 1991 in Munich ) is a German - Italian pianist .

Life and musical career

Sophie Pacini began playing the piano at the age of six. She made her concert debut at the age of nine. A year later, the piano teacher Karl-Heinz Kämmerling took over her training at the Salzburg Mozarteum , after which she was accepted into the newly founded institute for gifted students. From 2007 Sophie Pacini continued her studies in the master class of Pavel Gililov and graduated with honors in 2011. Master classes and a. with Dmitri Bashkirov and Fou Ts'ong completed their training.

Sophie Pacini appears in concert halls around the world such as u. a. As a soloist, Sophie Pacini has performed with orchestras such as the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra , the Dresden Philharmonic , the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra , the Vienna Chamber Orchestra , the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra , the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra , the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra .

Sophie Pacini has received prizes such as the ECHO Klassik in the “Young Artist of the Year 2015” category, the Prix Edmond de Rothschild Group 2011, the Deutschlandfunk sponsorship award at Musikfest Bremen 2011 and the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) as “Young Artist of the Year - instrumental “2017. Since 2013 she has been a scholarship holder of the Mozart Society Dortmund.
