The Sornin is a river in France that runs through the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions. It rises in the municipality of Saint-Bonnet-des-Bruyères , initially drains in a westerly direction, then swings to the southwest and flows into the Loire after 47 kilometers at Pouilly-sous-Charlieu as a right tributary . On its way, the Sornin crosses the Rhône , Saône-et-Loire and Loire departments .
