Sorry for Party Rocking is the second studio album by the American duo LMFAO . It was released on June 21, 2011 by Interscope Records and is the band's 2nd album. Critical reception
Sorry for Party Rocking received mediocre reviews from music critics. The album was rated 47 out of 100 on Metacritic . The British Guardian awarded , the magazine Rolling Stone distributed and Allmusic ruled with what the best score showed.
- Allmusic's Josh Bush gave a benevolent review, writing of the album: “It certainly didn't hurt LMFAO to be involved in David Guetta's global smash hit, Gettin 'Over You , which was quality time in France and the UK first place, although the duo was well versed in Europop , Synthie Pop and riffs worth listening to . Their second album, Sorry for Party Rocking , comes out at just the right time, has the right mix of energy and humor and is also a surprisingly honest contribution. ”The magazine particularly highlighted the songs Sorry for Party Rocking , Party Rock Anthem and Champagne Showers positive.
- Before the album was unveiled, Billboard said: LMFAO “I'm obviously not sorry to shake the party.” But the dance music duo's second album was “more sophisticated and experimental than the2009 debut album , Party Rock ”.
- The Rolling Stone started the review with a compliment: Mc-Djs Redfoo and Sky Blu delivered “polished hip-hop”, but Rolling Stone also criticized hip-hop as “really stupid” because rap was “girls who you spanked my bum ”and“ bathing in champagne ”thematize and underlay“ with a cheap imitation of the synthesizer sounds of the 1980s and pounding beats ”
- The British music magazine NME was particularly devastating in its criticism and refused to award any points, so the rating was 0 out of 10 points. Sam Wolfson beat up the lyrics and railed: "The group LMFAO knew what pain they would inflict on the world and did it anyway." Another criticism of the album, Sam Wolfson described: He stopped the "persistent and aggressive misogyny" the album for "annoying", but emphasized that he rated the lyrics and music of their songs as even worse, they were "so idiotic that if you ate a can of alphabet soup, you could pass out smarter lyrics with a more appealing melody."
There was also negative feedback on the rap and dance beats on the album:
- Entertainment Weekly expressed negative criticism of the album by disqualifying rap as "really horrible" and assuming that it had a negative effect on the "otherwise hilarious music", which mutates into "chaotic, annoying filler".
