After five years in Denizli, Hamidou moved to Kayserispor in 2008 . In his first season in Cappadocia , he became a regular goalkeeper straight away and was able to book his first appearances on the European stage. He was also used in the quarter-final against Ivory Coast and converted the penalty to 11:10 in the lost penalty shoot-out, but he could not save a single penalty and after Samuel Eto'o missed, the Cameroonians were eliminated.

At both the Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana in 2008 and in Angola in 2010 he was Carlos Kameni's substitute goalkeeper and never played.
