Until December 2006, Spøttrup Kommune was a Danish municipality in what was then the Viborg Office in Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Skive municipality together with the municipalities of Sallingsund and Sundsøre , as well as the “old” municipality of Skive .
Spøttrup Municipality was re-established as part of the administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :
