Until December 2006, Sydthy Kommune was a Danish municipality in what was then Viborg Amt in Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Thisted municipality together with the “old” Thisted Municipality and Hanstholm Municipality .
Sydthy Kommune was created in the course of the Danish administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :
