Until December 2006, Viborg Municipality was a Danish municipality in what was then the Viborg Office in Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Viborg municipality together with the municipalities of Bjerringbro , Fjends , Karup , Møldrup and Tjele as well as the school district Hvam of the municipality of Aalestrup .
