biography

In 1992 Grabowski began composing himself. In 1995 he founded his first band No Name , which broke up after a few months of rehearsal. On August 29, 1995, Paweł's first self-organized music event took place in the trendy club Dread Studio, where he played music from the jungle / drum and bass area . He is co-founder of the Thinkadelic formation, which recorded its first demo in 1996. The album, produced with Bartłomiej Serafiński and Paweł Serafiński, was released on an independent label and the songs from it were played on many local radio stations across Poland. In April 1997 he appeared in the context of "Rap Day '97" as a preliminary act in front of the cult band Run-DMC . In June, Spinache was invited by Michał Urbaniak to support his group Urbanator on the stage of the Great Theater in Łódź. In the same year he accompanied Krystyna Prońko on the recordings for her album "Złość" and the promo concerts for the record.

On February 20, 1998 Paweł signed a contract with the record company Pomaton EMI , which brought out the debut album "Lek" by Thinkadelic. The singles were "Wyżej i wyżej", "Zdobycz" and a self-interpretation of the timeless song by Krystyna Prońko "Jesteś lekiem na całe zło". Also involved in the album were Krystyna Prońko, Reni Jusis , Kaliber 44 and P'Am. Thinkadelic was the only hip-hop group to appear in Wojciech Mann and Krzysztof Materna's TV show “MDM” and the video for “Wyżej i wyżej” was the first Polish video clip that was broadcast on the (then only German-speaking) broadcaster VIVA was broadcast. In the same year Paweł became a student at the Faculty of Singing and Drama at the Music Academy in Łódź under Prof. Włodzimierz Zalewski. In March 1999 the album “Lek” was nominated for the Polish music award Fryderyk in the category “Album of the Year - Hip-Hop”. After the Thinkadelic debut album, Spinache began work on a new musical project. The first line-up as well as the name already existed in 1997, but it was not until 1999 that Spinache brought together some musicians from the Thinkadelic environment (including OSTR , Red, P'Am) and formed the group Obóz TA. In June 2000 Paweł signed a contract with the record company Camey Music, which released the band's debut album entitled "Obóz TA". Spinache invited hip-hop artists from Łódź , including Enter (NTK), Mejsal (NTK / DFA) and UpStars for the single “Dla publiki szerszej” to the recordings.

2000 until now (2012)

On September 16, 2000, Thinkadelic's second album “Obiecana ziemia” was released via Pomaton EMI . The singles from it were "Zarobię trochę / Ramię w ramię", "To jest dla Was" and the best known "Pokaż się". In March 2001 the album "Obiecana ziemia" was nominated for the Fryderyk in the category "Album of the Year - Hip-Hop". Since 2001 he has performed with the Not Necessary Band with an interpretation of an excerpt from Zygmunt Konieczny's oeuvre (the project was created in Łódź, but its third performance took place in the Piwnica pod Baranami in Cracow ). He took part in indie and musical events such as the “Youth Rock Symphony Orchestra” concert in the Łódź Philharmonic or the multimedia projects in the Forum Fabricum. He directed the recording of the music by Piotr Grabowski for the original presentation of the play "Litania". In October, OSTR released their debut album “Masz to jak w banku”, on which three songs produced by Grabowski - “Kiedy”, “Z…” and “Widzisz błąd” - can be heard. In February 2002 Spinache signed a contract with the Koch / Gigant label and released his first solo album "Za wcześnie" there. The guests on the album include a. OSTR, Czizz, Red, Magda Polańska and Joanna Maksymowicz. In April 2003, Stan Michalak invited Paweł to participate in the project "In The Open", whose members also included Ghasem Batamuntu, Patrick Farrant and Kenny Martin. The collaboration brought appearances in clubs and at jazz festivals, including “Jazz w Muzeum” in Ostrów Wielkopolski , “Jazz Standards Festival” in Siedlce and “Świdnickie Noce Jazzowe”.

In 2004 Spinache recorded the material for the second album by the Obóz TA group. The long player “Obó2 TA” was released on the Fonografika label and the singles were “Na zawsze”, “Kości rzucone 4” and “Miłość do hip-hopu 2”. In 2005 Grabowski signed a contract with the Universal Music Polska label and released the first album by the duo Red & Spinache there. The CD “7 rano” was released on May 9th and the singles were “Uwierz mi” with a guest appearance by saxophonist Kuba Raczyński, “Wczoraj” with the vocals of Marek Dulewicz, a member of the Bakflip band, and Łukasz Lach from the band L. .Stadt and “Kochać” with a guest appearance by Monika Kuszyńska from the band Varius Manx . In mid-2006 Grabowski signed a contract with the record company My Music. In August the first single from the second album of the duo Red & Spinache was released with the title "Poznać twoją matkie". At the same time the artist wrote music for the song "Wolne myśli" from the album "Nigdy nie mów nigdy" by Molesta Ewenement, and he also produced the single "4 żywioły" by Familia HP. Spinache. The record "8 rano" was released in February and was released by the My Music label. The singles were "Poznać twoją matkie" and "International Love" with a feature by J-Ro (member of the legendary group Tha Alkaholiks from Los Angeles ) and Łukasz Lach from the band L.Stadt.

In June 2008 the video for the solo track by Spinache with the title "Bezwarunkowo oddany" was released, and in September the song "Biegnij", which announced the third album by the duo Red & Spinache. The rest of the year Paweł worked on the album “9 rano” by Red & Spinache and supported Zeus, a rapper of the younger generation from Łódź, with the work on his debut album. Zeus' CD "Co nie ma sobie równych" was released by the Embryo label at the end of the year. In the first half of 2009 Grabowski made the decision to dissolve the duo Red & Spinache. In June, the Ortega Cartel group released the album “Lavorama”, on which Spinache is represented with a feature in the song “Ciągle tu jestem”. Paweł composed the music for the song "Wybieram spokój" from Pjus' album "Life After Deaf", which was released on December 5, 2009. Since the beginning of 2010 Spinache has been working on the beatbox album "ARTcore" by Art of Beatbox , which was released in April 2011. Grabowski is also responsible for the music for most of the songs on Red's solo album, the working title "Jestem hip-hopem," which was scheduled to premiere in September 2010. In June 2010 the video for the song "Muzyka i ja" from the album "Pozycja obowiązkowa" by Aes was released, for which Spinache composed the music and in which he can also be heard.
