Spitz is a district of the municipality Altenthann in Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg ( Bayern ).

Geographical location

Spitz is located in the Regensburg region, north of the confluence of the Spitzweiherbach in the Sulzbach, west of the state road 2145 and about five kilometers southwest of Altenthann.

history

The name Spitz comes from the location of the village on the top between Spitzweiherbach and Sulzbach. In 1466, Spitz was first mentioned in writing with two Sölden . It was in the Hofmark Lichtenwald.

In the 18th century, Spitz had three properties.

As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Spitz belonged to the Altenthann parish and had 5 houses and 42 residents.

On December 31, 1990, Spitz had 24 residents and belonged to the parish Altenthann.
