Göppenbach is a district of the municipality Altenthann in Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg ( Bayern ).

Geographical location

Göppenbach is located in the Regensburg region, about 5 kilometers north of Altenthann.

history

Göppenbach was first mentioned in writing in 1538. One farm in Göppenbach was in the hands of the Reichenbach Monastery , the other was a single-tier Vogtgut of the Pettenreuth Church . In 1582, one of the two farms had temporary usage rights in the Donaustauf forest. In 1606, the rights for both properties lay with the Donaustauf district court . In the middle of the 17th century, the yard of the Reichenbach Monastery became the property of the Walderbach Monastery .

The community Göppenbach was the Bavarian Gemeindeedikt founded by the 1818th It belonged to the jurisdiction of the rulership of Wörth of the Princes of Thurn and Taxis and, in addition to Göppenbach, included the places Aschenbrennermarter (Forsthaus, first mentioned around 1840), Ausölden, Bruckhäusl, Forsthof, Forstmühle, Gsellhof, Hornismühle, Kropfersberg, Leidgütl, multi-storey car park (Fürstl.) , Pfittersdorf, Reftthal, Schopflohe, Steinbuckl, Steinklippe and Wiesing. The remnants of the aristocratic judiciary were eliminated in the revolution of 1848 . In 1945/46 the previously independent community was incorporated into Altenthann.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Göppenbach belonged to the Altenthann parish and had 6 houses and 36 inhabitants. On December 31, 1990, Göppenbach had 35 residents and was still part of the Altenthann parish.
