Refthal is a part of the municipality Altenthann in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg ( Bavaria ).

Refthal is located in the Regensburg region, about three kilometers north of Altenthann.

Refthal was first mentioned in writing in 1521. It was subordinate to the Donaustauf district court . The landlord was the Reichenbach Monastery .
