After he was barely considered in the first half of the season, he became a regular player in the second half of the season and was able to qualify with his team for the UEFA Cup at the end of the season. The 2008/09 season he reached the runner-up behind Unirea Urziceni and was defeated in the cup final by CFR Cluj . In the 2009/10 season he missed almost the entire first half of the season , but fought his way back into the team. He finished the 2010/11 season with his team again as runner-up.

There he won his first title with the cup win in 2012 . At the beginning of 2014 he and his teammate Alexandru Curtean moved to Botew Plovdiv in the Bulgarian A Grupa . In August 2014 he returned to his home country, where Steaua Bucharest signed him. If he was there in the first half of the 2014/15 season to nine, he spent the second half mostly on the bench. So he only had a small share in the 2015 championship. In the summer of 2015 he left Steaua again and joined promoted ACS Poli Timișoara . There he immediately became a regular in central defense and from August 2015 led his team onto the field as team captain.
