The Stříbrný potok (German: Silberbach ) is a left tributary of the Svatava ( Zwota ) in the Karlovy Vary region in the Czech Republic .

Location and course

The brook has its source in several branches in the Bohemian Ore Mountains on Vysoký vrch ( 947  m nm ). About 1 km to the north is the German-Czech state border, which follows the watershed of the Ore Mountains. The Große Pyra , Wilzsch and Rolava also arise not far from the Großer Kranichsee high moor . After it first flows in a west-southwest direction, it then turns south and flows through the municipality of the same name, Stříbrná ( Silberbach ), which is almost entirely in the valley of the creek. In Kraslice ( Graslitz ) the stream finally flows into the Svatava. On its way, the brook has cut valleys that are more than 200 m deep .
