St. Boniface (Sundhausen)
The Evangelical Lutheran listed church St. Bonifatius is in Sundhausen , a community in the Unstrut-Hainich district in Thuringia . The parish Sundhausen belongs to the parish area Kirchheilingen in the parish of Mulhouse the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The aisle church made of natural stone was built in the 15th century. In the east it has a tripartite degree. It was expanded in 1591/1592 and the church tower got a pointed, eight-sided, slate-covered helmet . The western part was renewed in 1930. The sacristy is added to the north .
The interior has galleries on three sides . The pulpit altar is from the beginning of the 18th century. Jesus Christ , John the Baptist , Peter , Paul and Matthew are depicted on the pulpit . There is a crucifixion group on the north wall . A chasuble from the end of the 15th century is embroidered with depictions of the descent from the cross , the entombment and the resurrection of Jesus Christ . The organ with 21 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built in 1870 by Friedrich Petersilie.
