history
Church building
A church in Trierweiler is mentioned for the first time in 1202. There are no more traces of this first church apart from the field name "in der alt Kirch". In 1772 a new, single-nave, baroque church with a bell tower and a choir closed on three sides was built. This church was demolished down to the lowest floor of the tower in 1898. In 1893 and 1894, the present church was designed by architect elsewhere Reinhold Wirtz in neo-Gothic built in architectural style and was on 15 October 1894 consecrated to be. This church is a three-aisled church with a main nave and two aisles, a bell tower in the west and a three-sided choir in the east. The interior of the church was renovated in 1990–1991.
parish
The parish of Trierweiler also includes the subsidiary communities of St. John the Evangelist , Sirzenich and, since 1803, St. Agritius , Udelfangen .

In the church there is a neo-Gothic high altar , two neo-Gothic side altars and a baptismal font from 1897 made of white marble. The celebration altar and the ambo were installed in the church in 1998.
