description
The hall church was built in 1606 instead of its medieval predecessor. It is covered with a gable roof. Your choir in the east has a tripartite degree. At the south-west corner of the nave there is a covered staircase outside that leads to the galleries . The church tower on a square floor plan was built from rubble stones in the 12th century and is one of the most beautiful village church towers in Thuringia. Its three floors are provided with corner stones for stability . The tower was changed around 1515. It received a slate-covered high hip roof , which is flanked by four unadorned pinnacles . The top floor of the tower, in which the belfry is located, has tracery windows , three of them with snow . The chime consists of three chilled iron bells cast by Schilling & Lattermann in 1921. Their beats are f ', a' and c ''. The interior has galleries on both long sides and is covered with a wooden barrel vault. In the west is the gallery for the organ . The organ with 20 registers , divided into 2 manuals and a pedal , was built in 1879 by Julius Strobel . The rest of the church furnishings are from the beginning of the 17th century.
