description

The interior of the church in June 2011

The facade tower with a tent roof is located in the western part of the church and was shortened after a fire in 1807.

The three-bay nave has a constricted front arch , the slightly drawn-in, single- bay choir has a rounded three-eighth end. Both the nave and the choir are spanned by a groin vault with belt arches sitting on flat pillars . The sacristy is north of the choir. In the western part of the nave there is a three-axis, two-storey gallery .

The high altar with foliage cheeks dates from the fourth quarter of the 17th century. On the altar are two statues of Saints Peter and Paul made by Jakob Gschiel in 1876 . The tabernacle was erected in the middle of the 18th century. The simple side altars date from the middle of the 17th century and were partially changed afterwards. The pulpit and a hanging chandelier with a statue of the Mother of God are designed in the neo-Gothic style and originally come from the subsidiary church of St. Leonhard in the Eben . In addition, there is an overpainted picture of Mary with baby Jesus and John from the first half of the 17th century in the interior of the church.
