The Roman Catholic Church of St. Nikolaus is located in the Heimbach district of Hausen , Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia , right next to Hausen Castle .

In 1804 the parish of St. Nikolaus Hausen became independent, after having been supplied by a vicar from Vlatten since 1347 and St. Sacrament could be kept in the St. Nicholas Chapel. At the beginning of the 21st century, the parish of St. Nikolaus Hausen and the chapel parish of St. Georg Blens merged with the parishes of St. Clemens Heimbach, St. Dionysius Vlatten and St. Martin Hergarten to form the community of the communities of Heimbach . They all belong to the Heimbach-Nideggen dean's office.

In 2004 the parish celebrated its 200th anniversary. It was led since 1963 by Pastor Josef Rombouts († 2001) and most recently by Pastor Johannes Bündgens, who has since been appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Aachen .
