description

The small high hall church was the chapel of the former manor , built in the 14th century . It was rebuilt in 1618 to today's church with a retracted choir . Instead of the originally existing small apse , a polygonal closure was added to the east in 1844. The slate roof turret and the patronage box have their own outside entrances. Two bronze bells hang in the roof turret , the smaller one from 1934 and the larger one from 1952. The third place is empty. The nave is covered with a gable roof. The interior is covered with a wooden coffered ceiling that was painted flowers by a Neustadt painter in 1939. Two two-story galleries run around the room. Their parapets are also painted. The pulpit altar from 1844 serves as a partition wall to the choir. In wall niches there are four wooden, colored Gothic sculptures of a former altarpiece from approx. 1500. From the left there are St. Wolfgang , a portrait of the Virgin , St. Barbara and St. Anna Selbdritt . The pulpit does not show any figures, only the dove of the Holy Spirit is in the sound cover . Today the figure of Peter is the shaft of the anvil . A Descent from the Cross , which was given to the community in 1861, hangs above the altar . It is a copy based on a picture in the old art gallery . The organ with seven registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in 1782 by Christian August Gerhard using old materials and restored in 2005 by Gert-Christian Bochmann.
