St. Stephan (Häder)
St. Stephan is a Catholic parish church in Häder , a district of the Dinkelscherben community in the Augsburg district in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia , which was built in the 18th century. It is protected as an architectural monument.
history
The basement tower floors of the church consecrated to St. Stephen are of Romanesque origin. Around 1700 the tower was raised by the octagon with onion dome and around 1765 the nave was rebuilt. At the same time the late Gothic choir was raised. After the interior renovation in 2011, the church was also renovated outside from October 2017 to July 2018.
architecture
The single-aisled nave with a western gallery and rounded altar niches in the east is covered by a spear cap barrel. The high arched windows with oculi above give the interior a lot of light. The retracted choir is vaulted by a barrel , it is closed on the inside with a basket arch and on the outside on three sides.
Furnishing
The uniform rococo - Facilities built around 1765/66. The frescoes are by Joseph Mages and the coat of arms of the Abbot of Sankt Ulrich and Afra in Augsburg , Joseph Maria von Langenmantel , can be seen in a cartouche above the choir arch .
