Standard Bank Cup 2000/01
The Standard Bank Cup 2000/01 was the 20th anniversary of the National List-A cricket - Cup in South Africa . The competition was held between October 4, 2000 and February 21, 2001 between the eleven South African first-class regions over 45 overs each . In the final, the KwaZulu-Natal won against Northerns with 3 wickets .
format
The eleven teams played in a group once against each other team. There are four points for a win, two for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point is awarded if, with a sense of purpose, one's own run number exceeds that of the opponent by 1.25 times. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly. The first four of the group contest the semi-finals in the best-of-three format , the winners of which determine the winner of the competition in the final.
