Stanko Poklepović

Stanko "Špaco" Poklepović (born April 19, 1938 in Split , Kingdom of Yugoslavia ; † December 24, 2018 ) was a Yugoslav and Croatian football player and coach .

Career

As a player, he ran for RNK Split and Jadran Kaštel Sućurac before starting as a coach in the youth department of Hajduk Split. His stations in professional football were Hajduk Split , Budućnost Titograd and Borac Banja Luka . After the fall of Yugoslavia, he coached both club and national teams in many countries and celebrated numerous successes, including winning the last joint cup competition of all Yugoslav republics in 1991 , the first Croatian championship in 1992 , two championships in Iran and the Croatian cup in 1999 with NK Osijek and 2010 with Hajduk Split.

From February 12, 2010 he trained Hajduk Split . On October 28, 2010, the 60th birthday of Torcida Split , Stanko Poklepović was fired and replaced by the coach of the youth team Goran Vučević . From February 19, 2015 he was again the coach of Hajduk Split.
