Stefan Büsser

Stefan Christian Büsser (born March 4, 1985 in Zurich ) is a Swiss radio and TV presenter and comedian.

Career

Büsser completed his apprenticeship as a commercial clerk at Ringier AG in Zurich in 2004 . He then worked as an intern, first for Schweizer Illustrierte and then part-time until 2008 for the tabloid Blick . As the “Blick” penitent, he was first noticed by a national audience in the role of the gonzo intern. His reports with Paris Hilton , Michael Jackson and other celebrities made him known throughout Switzerland. At the same time, he and Sascha Wanner set up one of the first internet radio stations in Switzerland, Radio Unique. Every week they broadcast their music and talk shows in different formats from a cellar in Jonen in the Aargau .

From 2005 Büsser could also be heard as a presenter on Radio Top in Winterthur. He moderated there first in the daily program and then as a morning show presenter.

In 2008 he switched to the Zurich broadcaster Energy Zürich , where it was first heard on the daily program. After Jonathan Schächter left , Büsser took over the evening program "Energy Downtown", which he hosted until spring 2016. Since 2016, Büsser has had his own lunchtime show “Büsser am Mittag” on the national broadcaster SRF 3 . Together with his producer Manuel Rothmund, he broadcasts live from Zurich to all of Switzerland Tuesday-Thursday from 12 noon to 3 pm.

Comedy

In addition to his radio activities, Büsser developed his own comedy programs. In 2011 his first solo program “Der Büsser” premiered at the Kaufleuten Club in Zurich. A small Swiss tour followed before he presented his next program in 2013, "AU (R) A". In the play, Büsser also publicly addressed his illness cystic fibrosis for the first time . Appearances on national television followed, including on " Giacobbo / Müller " and "Comedy from the Laboratory". Since 2017 Büsser has been on the road with his current solo program “Master's Thesis”, in which he also processes his videos for the television program “ The Bachelor ”.

During his time at the radio, Büsser was also repeatedly involved in television productions. Among other things, he moderated the Elite Model Look Contest and was seen in various comedy shows. For the regional TV station he dueled with singer Baschi in the “Barilla Cooking Show” in 2016 and lost in the final.

Büsser hosted the Swiss Music Awards from 2017 to 2020 . In 2017 and 2018 he was on stage with Alexandra Maurer , and in 2019 he moderated the event alone for the first time. The show was broadcast from the Zurich Hallenstadion until 2018 and has been coming from the Culture and Congress Center Lucerne (KKL) since 2019 .

In 2018 Büsser also appeared in the documentary "Mission Imbüssible". Together with his radio producer Manuel Rothmund, he spent two weeks in the Balkans in search of traces of the players of the Swiss national football team with a migration background. Büsser also moderated the Swiss decision-making show of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 together with Sven Epiney . At the ESC finale, Büsser was responsible for the satirical second channel sound in 2017 with Micky Beisenherz and in 2018 with Jonny Fischer .

Together with comedian Fabian Unteregger , Büsser appears at irregular intervals in the late-night show "UnterBüsser", which is named after them. This is produced by Radio SRF 3 and also broadcast on television.

Social media

Büsser has over 300,000 followers on his social media channels. Since 2018 he has been producing the weekly comedy format "Büssi zapping '! N" together with the Zappin editorial team. In this program, the funniest TV clips of the week are again satirically processed. In 2018, Büsser also summarized the program “ Switzerland's next Topmodel ”, which was produced in Switzerland for the first time .

Awards

In 2017, Büsser was voted “Most Popular Zurich” and donated his winnings to Pastor Sieber's aid organizations .
