Stefan Feld
Stefan Feld (* 1970 in Karlsruhe ) is a German game designer .
Feld was already enthusiastic about board games and pen & paper role-playing games in his childhood and was already developing his own games at that time. In 1998 he took part in a competition run by WDR and Friedhelm-Merz-Verlag, which was about designing a game on the subject of “radio”, and came second in the field. He then began to regularly attend game fairs and author meetings. It was there that he first came into contact with editors from game publishers, including alea and Queen Games .
The author's first game was published in 2005 with the card game Revolte in Rome (Queen Games) . In the same year the game was nominated for the International Gamers Award , the following year it was on the recommendation list for Game of the Year . Since then, Feld has developed more games. In 2011 three of the ten games awarded or nominated for the German Games Prize were by him.
Feld lives in Gengenbach and has been teaching sport and physics at the Marta-Schanzenbach high school there since 1999 ; since 2014 he has been the director of the grammar school. He is married and has a son.
