Steffen Schneider (Romance Studies)

Steffen Schneider (born March 16, 1970 in Zweibrücken ) is a German Romanist.

Life

After completing his primary and secondary school education, Schneider studied Romance and German at the University of Cologne and at the Università degli Studi di Genova from 1991 to 1998 ; He completed his studies with the first state examination with the grade "very good".

From 2001 to 2004 he worked as a research assistant at the Romance Studies Department of the University of Tübingen , and from 2002 as a lecturer. In 2003 Schneider did his doctorate at the University of Tübingen with the thesis archival poetics. The function of knowledge in Goethe's ' Faust II' for Doctor of Philosophy . Since 2017, Steffen Schneider has been university professor for Romance literature and cultural studies at the Institute for Romance Studies at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz .
