Get into the dream boat of love is a hit written by Heinz Gietz and Kurt Feltz from 1955, which the singer and actress Caterina Valente sang together with her brother Silvio Francesco in the 1956 film Bonjour, Kathrin . The single was released the previous year and at the beginning of 1956 became the singer's second number 1 hit in the German single charts after Ganz Paris dreams of love from 1954.

Background and publication

In the film Bonjour, Kathrin , which was released on January 31, 1956, was sung by Catherina Valente together with her brother Silvio Francesco . In addition to the siblings, the singer and actor Peter Alexander played a major role in the film. In 1955 the song was released as a 7 " -Vinylsingle and 10 " - shellac plate , on which the two "Club Indonesia" and "Club Italia" called themselves. Text and music

The song is very quiet held in the style of a slow waltz in 3 / 4 -Stroke and popular in the 1950s as a hawaiian played marketed songs and singing. It is mainly accompanied by the guitar played by Silvio Francesco as well as a Hawaiian guitar and a polyphonic choir. Get in the dream boat of love entered the German single charts on February 1, 1956 and stayed there for a total of seven months; it was number one for two months. It was last featured in the chart edition of September 1, 1956. After All Paris dreams of love from 1954, Caterina Valente reached the top of the chart for the second time and was already 16 times in the single charts with songs she sang. For Kurt Feltz it was the fifth number 1 hit, which made him top the "eternal" list of the best at the time . In Austria and Switzerland , however, the song could not place itself.
