Stephanie Subke (born March 17, 1981 in Vienna , Austria ; née Stephanie Ofenböck ) is a former Austrian handball player .
Life
Subke played for the Austrian clubs HC Maroltinger, UHC Stockerau and Hypo Niederösterreich until 2000 . With Hypo, she won the championship, the ÖHB Cup and the EHF Champions League in 2000 . The backcourt player then moved to the Norwegian first division club Tertnes IL . After only one season in Norway, Subke moved to the German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 2001 , with whom she won the DHB Cup in 2002 . After one season, Subke joined 1. FC Nürnberg Handball , for which she went hunting for goals for a total of six years. With Nuremberg, Subke won the championship in 2005, 2007 and 2008, the DHB Cup in 2004 and 2005, and the EHF Challenge Cup in 2004 . After Subke took a break due to pregnancy, she signed a contract with Thuringian HC in 2009 . With the THC she won the championship and the DHB Cup in 2011. She then ended her career and has been working in a physiotherapy practice ever since. In February 2014 she celebrated her comeback at third division club ESV 1927 Regensburg.
Subke played 200 games for the Austrian national team , in which she scored 700 hits. The greatest successes with the Austrian selection were the third places at the European Championships in 1996 and the World Championships in 1999 . She also took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney .
Subke has had the A trainer license since February 2018. She now works as a youth trainer for the German club DJK-SV Berg.
