Stephen A. Sikder

Stephen A. Sikder (born October 22, 1966 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German - Indian actor , casting director and politician ( CSU ).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1985, he attended the Zerboni drama school in Munich from 1985 to 1987 and then received lessons from Uta Hagen and Herbert Berghof at the HB Studio actor training institute in New York .

Since 1992 Sikder has worked in various functions in film and TV production, including a. as distribution coordinator for the movies Moondance and Long Live Our GDR . He has worked as a casting director for cinema and television since 1994 and founded his company Dream Team Munich for this purpose in 1995. Stephen A. Sikder married the actress Kerstin Näfe (stage name Kristin Naefe) in 2006 . Son Maurice was born in March 2010.

Sikder has been committed to the CSU since 2012 and ran for the Trudering-Riem district committee in the municipal elections in Munich on March 16, 2014 , but did not get enough votes at the first attempt. In October 2015 he was able to take up his mandate as a successor for the Munich-Trudering-Riem District Committee (BA-15). Since March 2015 he has also been a member of the CSU local board in Waldtrudering. He is also involved in the Bavarian Economic Advisory Board. In March 2019 Stephen A. Sikder was elected local chairman of CSU Waldtrudering, and in May 2019 he was also elected deputy district chairman of CSU Munich East. Also in spring 2019, he was appointed deputy chairman of the CSU film commission. In the local elections on March 15, 2020, he ran for the Munich City Council, but was not elected due to the poor position on the list (42nd place). However, he was re-elected to the district committee 15 Trudering-Riem and has been the new parliamentary group spokesman for the CSU since the beginning of the new session in May 2020.
