Kurt Weinzierl
Kurt Weinzierl (born April 15, 1931 in Innsbruck , Tyrol ; † October 10, 2008 in Munich ) was an Austrian actor , cabaret artist and director .
Life
Kurt Weinzierl attended the Mozarteum in Salzburg from 1948 to 1951 , where he trained as an actor. He dedicated himself to the theater early on. So he played all possible roles in a puppet theater in Innsbruck . He began his career with theater engagements in Austria, from 1953 to 1970 in Klagenfurt and from 1955 to 1960 and from 1962 to 1964 in Salzburg. He then took on some film and television roles, for example in 1971 in Der Fall Jägerstätter , for which he won the Austrian Television Prize, or from 1981 on in the cult TV series Kottan .
Weinzierl was on stage with well-known actors like Hans Moser , Therese Giehse and Paula Wessely . From 1976 to 1981 he was a member of the ensemble alongside Dieter Hildebrandt in Sammy Drechsel's Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft . From 1981 he worked as a freelance actor, including with Hape Kerkeling in the film No Pardon . From 1981 to 1983 he was the artistic director of the Tyrolean folk theater in Telfs .
He had four daughters and one grandson. The daughters Andrea and Barbara come from his marriage to Susanne Weinzierl. Barbara Weinzierl , who has a son with the radio journalist Tom Doch, followed in her father's footsteps early on and works as a cabaret artist, actress, author and painter in Munich; She also organizes theater workshops (creacting method). Mirjam Rosenkranz, from a relationship with Helena Rosenkranz , studied agricultural science and is now an event manager.
Weinzierl lived in Munich with his partner, actress Veronika Faber , and daughter Annabel Faber, who is also an actress , until his death . He was buried there on October 17, 2008 in the north cemetery.
