Sterling Holloway
Sterling Price Holloway, Jr. (born January 4, 1905 in Cedartown , Georgia - † November 22, 1992 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor and voice actor .
Career
After attending the Georgia Military Academy, Holloway went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts . In the 1920s he was seen in the theater as part of the Garrick Gaieties . From 1926 on, Holloway starred in numerous films, including Blonde Venus , Gold Digger from 1933, and A total, total crazy world . He was later featured in several television series, including Gilligan's Island and Daktari .
From 1941 Holloway also worked as a spokesman for the Disney studio . The Disney masterpieces in which he was heard include Dumbo (as Master Stork), Bambi (as an adult flower) and The Jungle Book (as Kaa, the snake). He was also the spokesman for Winnie the Pooh for a long time . In addition, Holloway also appeared in many radio shows and radio plays .
Holloway died in 1992 after a cardiac arrest . His ashes were scattered in the Pacific .
