Steven Lee (born August 6, 1962 in Falls Creek , Victoria ) is a former Australian ski racer .
biography
Lee competed in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo , 1988 in Calgary and 1992 in Albertville . From 1982 to 1991 he also took part in all five world championships . He achieved his best result at the 1989 World Cup in Vail with eighth place in the Super-G .
Lee is the second of three Australians who have won a World Cup so far . On March 3, 1985, he won the Super-G in Furano ex aequo with the Swiss Daniel Mahrer ; like Mahrer, who started with starting number 27, he too benefited from the improved weather conditions with number 43. In his career he was able to occupy eight other top 10 places. In 1992 he ended his active career and became a television commentator and co-editor of an Australian magazine.
