Stuart Cornfeld

Stuart Alan Cornfeld (born November 13, 1952 in Tarzana , California - † June 26, 2020 ) was an American film producer .

life and career

Cornfeld was born in Tarzana, California, in 1952 and attended the University of California at Berkeley in the early 1970s . Together with Ben Stiller , he was one of the founders of the production company Red Hour Productions. Cornfeld has produced several films with Stiller in the leading role, including Zoolander (2001), Der Appartement Schreck (2003), Starsky & Hutch , Voll auf die Nüsse (both 2004), Tropic Thunder (2008) and The Amazing Life of Walter Mitty (2013 ).

The personality Les Grossmann played by Tom Cruise in the film Tropic Thunder is based on Cornfeld.

Cornfeld was married to the actress Johanna Went . He died of cancer at the age of 67.
