Stubbekøbing is a Danish town on the north coast of the island of Falster on Grønsund . The town forms its own parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) Stubbekøbing Sogn , which belonged to Harde Falsters Nørre Herred in what was then Maribo Amt until the Danish municipal reform of 1970 , after which it was the administrative seat of Stubbekøbing Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was part of the next Danish municipal reform 2007 in Guldborgsund municipality in region Zealand has risen. With 2223 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020), the city is Falster's second largest city after Nykøbing and has a fishing port and a yacht harbor as well as a ferry pier from which a ferry to Bogø runs in summer . It is connected to the Berlin-Copenhagen cycle route and the European EuroVelo 7 cycle route .
