Sue Lloyd

Sue Lloyd (* 7. August 1939 as Susan Margery Jeaffreson Lloyd in Aldeburgh , Suffolk , England ; † 20th October 2011 in London ) was a British actress .

Life

Sue Lloyd took ballet lessons at Sadler's Wells Ballet School as a child . In 1963 she made her acting debut in the television series The Sentimental Agent, a production by ITV Entertainment . ITV then used them in other series; so she got about 1966 in the series The Baron the female lead alongside Steve Forrest . The series was discontinued after a season, but Lloyd continued to get guest roles on ITV productions. She also had the female lead as "Jean Courtney" at Michael Caine's side in the 1965 spy film Ipcress - top secret based on the novel of the same name by Len Deighton . However, she should be denied a film career.

She became better known in her homeland through her role as "Barbara Hunter" in the soap opera Crossroads, which she played between 1975 and 1985. In 1991 she married Ronald Allen , who portrayed her husband on the series. He died of cancer just a few months later .

Sue Lloyd was also known under the names "Sue Lloyd Allen" and "Susan Lloyd". She died on October 20, 2011 at the age of 72.
