The Sulzbach ( Jagst in the village of Siglingen in the town of Neudenau in the Baden-Württemberg district of Heilbronn .
) or Sülzbach , on the left upper course of Klingenbach , is a small tributary of the lowercourse
The 13 km² catchment area of the Sulzbach is sandwiched between the much larger catchment areas of Seckach in the east and Schefflenz in the west. There is no agreement about the origin of the Sulzbach. According to the official topographical map of the Land Surveyor's Office, the stream begins in the urban area of Neudenau , less than half a kilometer north of the district road 2026, which branches off from Reichertshausen to the west. Here is a well (on the left next to the creek bed ⊙ ) located in Sulzbachtal and a water-bearing short forest sword , runs down the western slope of the opposite side.
According to the LUBW map, however, the Sulzbach begins significantly further north in the northern tip of the Förstle forest between Bittelbronn and Waldmühlbach , just this side of the city limits from Möckmühl to Billigheim . According to this definition, the Sulzbach reaches a length of 7.0 km. However, the upper section of the water, even after just under the first two kilometers, on which it is called Klingenbach , is less a stream than a ditch that lies completely dry for most of the year. The valley, which is located in an open agricultural landscape, can still be described more as a hollow there, runs consistently to the south. To the southwest of Bittelbronn, the Sulzbach reaches a pond in the valley floor on the edge of the Sülz forest area immediately to the south . From here the deepening valley as well as its slopes are completely covered with forest. Meadow meadows prevail further down the valley with still wooded slopes. The stream bed is still dry here for long periods of the year. The ditch mentioned above joins this area from the right, although it does not significantly affect the water flow. If you see it as the origin, the Sulzbach does not even reach half the length mentioned above. Only below the point where the road K 2026 coming from Reichertshausen crosses the valley does the Sulzbach carry water all year round, which presumably emerges in the stream bed itself. The creek then digs itself very deeply and flows very quickly over countless natural thresholds made of tufa towards the Jagst. Reichertshausen is located on the plateau east of the valley. A little below, from the left, an apparently nameless forest blade joins the Gewann Hasenpfad , which periodically carries water. The district road 2137, which connects Bittelbronn with Siglingen, follows the left side of the slope of this blade and then accompanies the Sulzbach on to Siglingen . The brook crosses the district, which is located north of the Jagst, partly verdolt and finally flows into the Jagst through a sewer pipe.
