All players started with a stack of 250,000 chips. After the first day of the tournament there were still seven players in the tournament. Christoph Vogelsang went into the final table as the chip leader. There Almedin Imširović quickly took the lead in chips, after initially removing both David Peters and Sam Greenwood with A A and a few hands later Mikita Badsjakouski with K K from the tournament. Then four played almost seven hours. During this time, Cary Katz earned the chip lead by doubling his stack several times. Eventually, Stephen Chidwick was the next player to leave the table after running out of chips after losing a flip to Imširović. A little later Vogelsang was eliminated in the last unpaid place when his 6 6 ♦ was inferior to the full house of Imširović's K 7 . The latter went heads-up as the leader . After several changing chip leads, all chips went into the middle on a board of K A 6 T 5 : Imširović thought T T ♠ was a set , but Katz made a flush with Q 3 and thus secured himself the tournament victory. Imširović received £ 900,000 and Katz £ 2.1 million, which meant that both players had their highest tournament prize money ever won.
