After the first day of the tournament there were still 30 players in the tournament. Daniel Negreanu was the first player to break the one million chip mark and ended the day as the clear chip leader. In the blind battle with Bonomo, Badsjakouski was eliminated and finished fourth for $ 1.6 million. Then Koon with K 9 and Bonomo with K Q ♦ saw a flop of Q K 9 . On the turn, all the chips went into the middle and Bonomo was the clear chip leader, while Koon was now short and was eliminated a little later in third place.
