Andrew Lichtenberger (born September 20, 1987 in East Northport , New York ) is a professional American poker player .

Personal

Lichtenberger attended Northport High School in his hometown. He later studied at Stony Brook University , but did not graduate. Lichtenberger is a passionate bowler and once threw 289 points in one game. That is why he organized children's birthdays in a bowling center for a while. Lichtenberger lives in Las Vegas .

Poker career

Career

Lichtenberger played online from October 2006 to May 2017 under the nicknames RunThisTable ( PokerStars ) and LuckyChewy ( Full Tilt Poker and UltimateBet ) . His tournament revenues are over three million US dollars . Since 2007 Lichtenberger has also participated in renowned live tournaments .

Lichtenberger won his first major cash prize in April 2009 when he received more than $ 80,000 for his 13th place at the World Poker Tour (WPT) main event at the Hotel Bellagio in Las Vegas . In June 2009 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came into the money a total of five times; while he was at a tournament variant No Limit Hold'em Second, finishing in 18th place in the main event for prize money of more than 750,000 dollars. At the end of April 2010, Lichtenberger won the WSOP circuit tournament at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and received a prize of almost 200,000 dollars. In mid-December 2018, Lichtenberger reached the final table at the WPT Main Event of the Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio and took third place, worth more than $ 800,000. At the 2019 WSOP , he finished second in the $ 50,000 high roller event for nearly $ 920,000.

In total, Lichtenberger earned almost $ 10.5 million in poker in live tournaments . In 2015 he published the poker book The Yoga of Poker - A High Stakes Journey to Freedom . At the end of 2016, Lichtenberger opened the poker website LuckyChewyPoker.com .
