Kahle Jordan Burns (born December 26, 1988 in Teesdale , Victoria ) is a professional Australian poker player . He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Poker career

Career

Burns plays online under the nicknames ROFLShove ( PokerStars ) , Meth4weightloss ( partypoker ) and DuuuuMaaaa (WSOP NV) . In May 2019, he won two tournaments of the Spring Championship of Online Poker on PokerStars within two days and secured prize money of just under 500,000 US dollars . In total, he has earned just under 2.5 million US dollars with online tournament poker. Since 2009 Burns has also participated in prestigious live tournaments .

Burns won the Grand Final of the 888 Poker League at the Crown Casino in Melbourne at the end of August 2011 and secured a prize of 35,000 Australian dollars . In mid-April 2013 he reached the final table of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Asia Pacific at the same point and received more than 200,000 Australian dollars for his fifth place. In early August 2016 Burns prevailed at the main event of the Sydney Championships in Sydney and secured the main prize of almost 300,000 Australian dollars. In November 2016, he finished third in the main event of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Macau for the equivalent of just under 350,000 US dollars. At the beginning of April 2017, Burns finished fourth in the Super High Roller of the PokerStars Championship, which was also played in Macau, with an endowment of around 415,000 US dollars. In October 2017, he finished in third place at the main event of the Triton Super High Roller Series in Macau, which was paid for the equivalent of 1.3 million US dollars. In June 2018 Burns was successful for the first time in the main tournament series of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in the money in two tournaments of the No Limit Hold'em variant . At the 2019 WSOP , he reached the final table of the Six Handed No Limit Hold'em World Championship and finished the event in second place for just under $ 400,000. At the beginning of August 2019, Burns made it into the money at two Triton Series events in London and secured prize money equivalent to around 780,000 US dollars. Three weeks later he finished fourth in the Super High Roller of the European Poker Tour in Barcelona and received around 640,000 euros . In October 2019 Burns won the Platinum High Roller of the World Series of Poker Europe at the King's Resort in Rozvadov and secured a prize of almost 600,000 euros and a bracelet . A few days later, he also prevailed in an event in the series played with a short deck and received another bracelet and around 100,000 euros. In mid-November 2019 Burns won the ninth event of the Poker Masters at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and secured a total of over $ 600,000 in prize money during the tournament series. He finished second in the race for the Poker Masters Purple Jacket ™ . In January 2020 Burns beat 53 other players in the A $ 100,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne and secured a prize of more than 1.7 million Australian dollars. In early February 2020, he finished second at the Super High Roller Bowl Australia in Sydney and received 1.2 million Australian dollars.

In total, Burns has earned more than $ 10.5 million in live poker tournaments , making him the second most successful Australian poker player after Joe Hachem .
