The Superliga de Colombia is a competition that has been held since 2012 under the care of the Dimayor , at which the respective champions of the Apertura and Finalización of the previous year of the Colombian football championship meet in a round-trip at the end of January .
Story / mode
The end of 2011 suggested the president of Dimayor , Ramón Jeshurun, for the first time to host a Super Cup before, between the cup winner and one of the two masters of the Categoría Primera A should be held. In March 2012, the Dimayor decided in a meeting to host the Super League , but between the two champions of the previous year. Like the Categoría Primera A , Categoría Primera B and Copa Colombia , the competition is sponsored by the beverage manufacturer Postobón. The winner is determined in the first and second leg, with the team that scored more points in the previous year's overall table having home rights in the second leg. If a club wins both championships, it competes against the top-ranked club in the overall table. The winner is determined by adding up the goals from the first and second leg. If it is then a tie, the second leg will be decided by a penalty shoot-out .
The first super league was played in July 2012 and Atlético Nacional won against Junior . Independiente Santa Fe became the first club to win the title for the second time in 2015. In 2016 Atlético Nacional also won the title for the second time.
From 2014 to 2016, the winner qualified for the Copa Sudamericana . As of 2017, participation in both international competitions will no longer be possible.
With the third title in January 2017, Santa Fe was once again the sole record winner of the Super League.
